1. Are tummy tucks painful?

Discomfort after tummy tucks could be addressed by proper injection of pain medications during surgery, pain pumps and post operative muscle relaxants.

2. Will weight gain after a tummy tuck affect the results?

A 5-10 pound weight gain might not affect it, but a 50 pound gain will!

3. Can you explain what a partial abdominoplasty is?

Excision of skin below the umbilicus without muscle plication or relocation of the umbilicus.

4. Will future pregnancy affect the results of a tummy tuck?

It could. Skin will stretch again. It depends on the size of the baby, skin type etc..

5. Can stretch marks be removed with a tummy tuck?

Yes. The ones below the umbilicus will be removed.

6. How long before I can return to my normal activities?

Varies between 1-2 weeks. Lifting heavy weights, sit ups etc...are better delayed till after 6 weeks or so.
