1. Will abdominoplasty tighten up loose skin?
That is what it is for. Usually the skin below the umbilicus becomes the tightest while the upper skin a little less.
2. Can the problems come back after abdominoplasty?
Only with massive weight gain and loss or another pregnancy.
3. Is a Tummy Tuck a good way to lose weight?
NO and doing so only increases the risks of adverse events such as bad result, infections, pulmonary embolus to name a few.
4. Can men benefit from a Tummy Tuck?
Yes, usually after a massive weight loss.
5. Will I feel pain afterwards?
Definitely. Some surgeons reduce this by using an anesthetic pump using lidocaine postoperatively.
6. Why do patients seek a tummy tuck?
Because there is no other way to tighten loose abdominal skin.
7. Is the recovery time different for full and mini tummy tuck?
The mini is shorter and less painful because normally no muscular work is done and the pain comes from the muscle stitching.
